Île des Pins

Landing pontoon for ferries

In the Île des Pins, a premier tourist enclave in New Caledonia, secure and robust infrastructure was required for disembarking passenger ferries arriving from the main island. MSI supplied an 18-meter-long and 4-meter-wide concrete floating pontoon with a freeboard of approximately one meter, suitable for passenger operations. The solution was designed to minimize environmental impact and adapt to the operational constraints of a remote area, being transported from Europe and secured using outer piles. The result is a stable, durable infrastructure that respects the natural environment.
