Port Leucate

Breakwater Pontoon at Quai d’Honneur

The port of Port Leucate required protection for a new marina basin against waves driven by the tramontane wind, while simultaneously guaranteeing stable, high-quality berths at the Quai d’Honneur. MSI installed a 4-meter-wide floating breakwater that also functions as a mooring pontoon on its protected side. The solution integrates a concrete module with a central wooden deck housing port utilities, guided by piles and reinforced with rings designed to absorb wave energy. The result is a secure, functional infrastructure prepared for the port's present and future needs.
